Expresion Magazine

Expresion magazine has proven to be one of our most challenging clients so far. Expresion was a bi-monthly magazine publication in which we designed all the articles, magazine advertisements as well as email advertisements. After we finished the individual spreads for the magazine, the layout had to be assembled for printing through an off-set printer where we only had about 24 hours to assemble the 30-50 page publication in order to make the printing deadlines. Time is definitely money in that industry. The entire magazine was completed, typically in about two weeks.

Designing for a magazine was an exhausting experience, but one of the things that kept it exciting was the diversity of the article topics. This, along with the contemporary design and layout helped to keep the content fresh each month. It also allowed us to really express ourselves with the design. For us, designing a magazine was a great experience. Learning to coordinate and work with editors, writers and photographers really helped us to gain a lot of experience in a fast paced environment. Unfortunately the funding fell through after a year, but the relationships with our clients have been lasting.
